About Me
About Me
Hello to you and welcome to Michelle Calpin,
social worker, coach and mum. I have been interested in the needs of others as far back as I can remember. I dreamt of being a social worker since I was a teenager – not really knowing what that was. I guess I was driven to help make other people’s lives feel a little more comfortable. Well, I realised that dream back in 2007 when I started my masters in the University of Galway. I graduated in 2009 and began my career in the profession in 2010 and have been crafting my assessment and intervention skills with people ever since.
About Me
In 2020 my inquisitive mind met with opportunity
and I found Life Coaching with Neuroscience training and went for it. This has led me to meet with amazing people and opened up my world to the diverse possibilities to help people. Through this learning experience I knew that I wanted to work more flexibly, yet still wanted to be in service of others. How was I going to do that I asked myself. Step by step (sometimes small, sometimes like falling off a cliff!!!) I have kept moving forward and what you see today with this website is yet another dream fulfilled (my child being born was the original dream come true).

People have told me it is courageous and brave to make a move to working for myself. I could have stayed exactly where I was in the safety and security of a pensionable job. I chose to take a leap of faith and with the support of my coach I have arrived here, launching my own business, working on my terms and in a way that works for me and my family. I am grateful every day for the challenges, fears and the unknown of it all – that is where the opportunities for continued growth keep coming from.
